AYSE GUNDUZ SEVIN - Co-Founder

Magnus is the brainchild of Ayse Gunduz Sevin, mother of two children.

Ayse studied engineering in Istanbul, followed by an MBA in Finance in London. Ayse pursued a successful career in Private Wealth Management at top-tier financial institutions in the City of London.

Following the process of preparing her eldest son for the 11+ pretests for all leading London day schools, Ayse recognised a gap in the market. Ayse became acutely aware of how complicated the British education system could be and how challenging it was to find reliable advice or guidance for parents.

Ayse’s desire to pass this know-how and insight to other parents has led to her writing a book Little Children Big Exams. The book follows the journey of two children of different characters from their nursery years to good Independent Day Schools.

Little Children Big Exams:
From One Parent to Another

This combined experience enabled her to develop a network of highly qualified experts in education. With a passion to ignite other parents’ journey and enrich their children’s education she partnered with Arzu Mazi and Magnus Education London was born.

JEREMY EDWARDS - Consultant

Jeremy is an English graduate from the University of London, where he also studied for a Master’s degree in Educational Management. He has a broad range of experience, with the first half of his career devoted to teaching English in secondary schools. He was Deputy Head of Emanuel School from 1995 – 2000 until he decided to move into the prep school world. He has been Headmaster of two leading London prep schools: Westminster Under School (2000 – 2010) and Eaton House the Manor (2010 – 2016) where he was also a Director of the Eaton House Group of Schools.

His philosophy as a teacher was to encourage his pupils to aim high and, most importantly, to enjoy their school years. As the father of three adult children, two girls and a boy, he understands the educational system from the perspective of a parent, as well as a Headmaster.

Jeremy is now an educational consultant advising schools and families, a trained mentor for newly-appointed prep school heads and is a governor of two schools.
